Hardware-banned on Fortnite? EasyAntiCheat samples your motherboard, disk and network IDs the second you launch — then stamps them into Epic's ban list. Edgey rewrites every one of those identifiers so EAC sees a brand new machine. Casual, Zero Build, BR and Tournaments all covered.
EAC on Fortnite reads SMBIOS, disk serial, MAC and NIC fingerprints — all identifiers the Permanent driver rewrites in one spoof. No TPM dependency here, so you can start at the one-time €19.99 tier or jump to Lifetime if you expect more than one ban cycle a year. Tournaments and Zero Build run on the same anti-cheat profile, so a single spoof covers every mode.

EasyAntiCheat is Epic's own kernel-mode anti-cheat (acquired from the original EAC team in 2018). Unlike Vanguard it doesn't require TPM — it builds its hardware ID purely from SMBIOS strings, disk serials, physical MAC addresses and the NIC enumeration order. When Epic hardware-bans you, that composite ID lands in a server-side blacklist and every new account from the same box is auto-stamped at the first match. Edgey's Permanent driver rewrites those exact fields in kernel mode, below EAC's load point, with a different random set on every spoof. EAC starts, hashes the identifiers it finds, builds a new composite that doesn't match the ban list, and lets you queue. Tournaments use the same EAC module as Battle Royale, so a working spoof plays everywhere. We push a new build within 12 hours of every EAC signature refresh — tracked in the public changelog.
Yes. Fortnite's Tournament mode uses the same EasyAntiCheat module as Battle Royale — Epic doesn't load a second kernel driver for ranked lobbies. If the Permanent Spoofer gets you queueing in BR, it's queueing you in Cash Cups, FNCS qualifiers and Zero Build Tournaments on the same key. We added a dedicated EAC tournament module patch during the May 22 refresh and have kept it covered since — see the full history in the changelog.
Because EAC already has your hardware stamped in its ban list — Epic doesn't ban the account, it bans the box. Every new email you register on the same unspoofed machine is matched against the composite HWID within minutes of the first launch and auto-stamped. That's exactly what the Permanent Spoofer breaks: it rewrites the SMBIOS, disk and MAC identifiers EAC fingerprints before you create the new account. New fingerprint = new box = clean slate. Spoof first, then make the Epic account.
Only if you want the cleanest possible slate. For a plain HWID ban, EAC doesn't persist traces in Windows the way Vanguard does on Valorant, so the Permanent Spoofer alone is enough to clear the ban in most cases. A fresh Windows install never hurts and we ship a bootable USB in every plan, but it's optional on Fortnite. The one case where we do recommend a reinstall: if you've been banned and unbanned multiple times on the same install, residual Easy Anti-Cheat telemetry can carry over.
