Edgey is a kernel-level tool. That sounds scary — so this page explains, in plain English, exactly what it touches on your PC, what it never touches, and the trust we've built on top of it since 2021.

Local-only operation

No telemetry, no analytics, no cloud sync. The driver runs on your machine and dies there. If we wanted your data, this is where it would leak — and we don't.

Reversible by design

Every SMBIOS write is backed up before replacement. A revert tool is shipped in every build. No action we take on your PC is permanent, except the one-time BIOS flash (which uses your board's stock image).

No account, no identity

Buy with crypto, get a license key, done. We don't ask for your name, email isn't mandatory, and the key alone unlocks everything. Zero paper trail by default.

Every build is scannable before you run it. Open a Discord ticket and ask for the current build's VirusTotal link, the signed driver's hash, or a live screen-share of the install flow. We'll walk you through it before you pay.

Common concerns

N° 04
Is "kernel-level" dangerous?

Kernel-level means the driver runs with the same privileges as Windows itself — the only privilege level that can rewrite SMBIOS and TPM fields. Vanguard, EAC and BattlEye all run kernel-level too; it's not special, it's necessary. The risk isn't the privilege level, it's what you do with it. We touch only the hardware fingerprint fields and we release every change on exit.

Will Windows Defender flag it?

Yes — temporarily, like every tool in this category. Defender flags any driver that touches SMBIOS, regardless of what it does. Our walkthrough shows you how to disable it just for the install and turn everything back on after. Zero antivirus is kept off permanently.

Can I inspect the driver before running it?

Absolutely. Open a Discord ticket, ask for the current VirusTotal scan link (we re-upload every build), check the EV code-signing certificate on the driver file, and read the full install walkthrough before clicking anything. If something looks off, we won't be offended — we'll explain it.

What if my PC breaks during install?

Software spoofs are reversible and never touch firmware. The one-time BIOS flash (Permanent + TPM only) uses your board's stock image. If anything goes wrong during install, you get a full refund within 3 days, no questions. AnyDesk support (€9.99 add-on) lets our staff take over your screen and finish the install while you watch.
