Why Valorant needs the TPM step
Vanguard is Riot's kernel-mode driver that loads at Windows boot, before the game and before most spoofers can touch anything. It samples your hardware early, writes a Riot ID derived from your fTPM endorsement key, and keeps that sample locked in Riot's servers. A traditional spoofer that only edits SMBIOS fields is read, flagged, and the account is restamped against the same TPM key within hours. Edgey's Valorant stack sits below Vanguard — the SMBIOS, MAC and disk identifiers are rewritten through the Permanent driver, then the firmware editor rewrites the TPM endorsement key during a one-time BIOS flash so the device Vanguard sees next boot is a different machine. The fTPM write is reversible, backed up before replacement, and covered by a lifetime warranty if a Riot or OEM update ever rolls it back.
Will I get banned again?
I was Riot ID banned, not just HWID. Does this still work?
Yes — Riot ID bans are the whole reason the TPM step exists. A Riot ID is derived from the fTPM endorsement key, which lives in your motherboard's firmware. The Permanent Spoofer alone can't touch it, so a plain HWID spoof is useless once Vanguard has stamped your TPM. Our firmware editor runs during a one-time BIOS flash from a bootable USB and rewrites the endorsement key beneath the anti-cheat layer. After that + a Windows reinstall, Vanguard reads a fresh TPM key, a fresh HWID, and the Riot ID chain is broken. You create a new Riot account on top and play.
Does Vanguard detect the spoofer at boot?
No — because the spoofer never runs while Vanguard is loaded. You run the loader before launching Valorant, it rewrites the identifiers, unloads cleanly, and leaves no service, no scheduled task, no persistence. When Vanguard starts at the next boot, it sees a totally stock Windows with a different hardware fingerprint and a different TPM key. There's nothing suspicious to detect because nothing is still running. The TPM rewrite happens offline during a BIOS flash — Vanguard literally cannot be loaded during that step.
Why not just a plain spoofer — do I really need TPM?
For Valorant, yes. Riot made TPM 2.0 mandatory in 2022 and extended Vanguard to read the endorsement key as part of the hardware fingerprint. If you only run the Permanent Spoofer, SMBIOS changes but the TPM key stays, Vanguard sees a matching ban-stamped machine with randomized SMBIOS, which is suspicious enough on its own and gets re-banned within hours. The Permanent + TPM plan handles both at once. For a plain HWID ban on League of Legends only (no TPM stamp yet), the Permanent is enough — but on Valorant we don't recommend it.
